Overview

Pro Tier Access Required

This feature is only available in the Pro tier.

Define specific user access levels by creating and assigning roles. Manage existing roles and grant permissions to control access to system functions and widgets.

Role Management

Access Role Management

To manage user access, navigate to "Manage" from the main menu, then select "Roles". This opens the role management interface, displaying all predefined roles for review and modification.

Review Existing Roles

To understand current access levels, examine the predefined roles. Select a role from the list on the left in the role management interface to view its assigned permissions on the right.

View Role Permissions

To understand specific actions and data access for a role, inspect its permissions. After selecting a role, its associated permissions appear on the right. This view indicates enabled or disabled system functions, such as managing company details, users, or asset data like hoists and slings. Permissions may also specify access to certain widgets, controlling dashboard information visibility.

View Permissions Right

When you select a role, its permissions appear on the right side of the window.

Role Creation

Initiate New Role Creation

To establish new access privileges, create a new role. From the role management screen, select the "Add role" button to open the page for defining new role details.

Enter New Role Name

To provide a clear identifier for your new role, enter its name into the designated input field on the "Add company role" page. This name will appear in the role list.

Add New Role

To finalize new role creation and make it available, select the "Add role" button on the "Add company role" page after entering the role name. The new role appears in the list, ready for permission assignment.

Permission Assignment

Select Role for Permissions

To configure specific access rights, select the role you wish to modify from the list on the left in the role management interface. This prepares the system to display and allow modification of that role's permissions.

Assign Role Permissions

To define user actions, grant or revoke specific permissions. With the desired role selected, check boxes next to permissions on the right to enable access, or uncheck them to revoke access. This tailors the role's access to system features, such as browsing hoist usage or inspecting slings, and determines widget accessibility on a user's dashboard.
