Notifications

Overview

Pro Tier Access Required

This feature is only available in the Pro tier.

Configure notifications to automatically send messages when predefined events occur within the system. Add recipients and set up routes to specify which events trigger these messages and to whom they are sent.

Recipient Management

To manage who receives system notifications, access the list of existing recipients or add new ones in the Manage->Notifications menu. Select the Recipients tab to view and manage all notification recipients.

Add New Recipient

To create a new contact for receiving notifications, open the form to input a new recipient's details. Click the 'Add recipient' button to begin creating a new notification recipient.

Enter Recipient Details

To specify the contact information and role for the new recipient, provide the necessary information for the system to identify and send notifications. Fill in the recipient's name, email address, and assign a role from the dropdown menu. The assigned role determines which locations the recipient will receive notifications from.

Save Recipient

To store the new recipient's information in the system, confirm the creation of the new recipient. Click 'Save recipient' to add the new contact to your list of notification recipients.

Activate Recipient

To enable the recipient to start receiving notifications, make the newly added recipient active for notification delivery. Toggle the switch next to the recipient's name to the 'On' position to activate them.

Route Configuration

To define which types of events trigger notifications, access the section where you can create and manage notification routes. Select the 'Routes' tab to view and configure notification routes.

Create New Route

To define a new set of notification preferences, open the interface for creating a new notification route. Click the 'Add' button within the 'Routes' section to create a new notification route.

Name Route

To give your notification route a clear and descriptive identifier, assign a unique name to the new route for easy identification. Enter a name for your route in the 'Name' field, such as "Technical information".

Select Notification Events

To specify which system events will trigger notifications for this route, choose the specific types of alerts or updates that recipients assigned to this route will receive. Check the boxes next to the events you wish to include in this route, such as 'System Outage' or 'Security Breach', to subscribe to those notifications.

Save Route Configuration

To apply your selected event preferences to the new route, store the defined notification events for the route. Click 'Save route' to finalize the configuration of your notification route.

User Notification Assignment

Select Recipient for Assignment

To assign specific notification routes to an individual recipient, choose the recipient whose notification preferences you want to manage. Select the desired recipient from the list on the 'Manage recipients' page to view their details and assign routes.

Assign Route to Recipient

To ensure the selected recipient receives notifications based on a defined route, link a previously configured notification route to the chosen recipient. With the recipient selected, check the box next to the route you wish to assign, such as 'Technical information', to enable notifications for that route for the recipient.

Don't Miss This

Notifications will not send until you explicitly assign the route to the recipient here.
